After graduating Bucky entered training for professional wrestling but saw that the military was a better option at the time, and without telling anyone, he signed up for the Marines. Bucky was in the Marine Corps. from 2000 to 2003, and was honorably discharged from the war. It was later found out he was part of a military convoy that was ambushed and he was shot in the shoulder. The next thing he remembered was walking the desert covered in blood. Bucky was in recovery for a few months and was released, he picked up training to be a wrestler again and debuted with No Limits Championship Wrestling and stayed with the company for four years, becoming the only wrestler in NLCW history to hold every championship in the promotion. However, following disputes with management, Bucky decided to accept his release from his contract and soon found his way to the Univeral Wrestling Federation.
Despite being a major rising star of UWF, Bucky's authority problems once again reared their head, and he quit in frustration. He then came to GEW, seeking the best opposition in the business. He made a huge impact in a short time, first taking out Jace Parker Davidson, and then defeating four-time GEW World Champion Kameron Chase in his official debut. The next few months would be successful for Bucky, picking up multiple singles titles. However, early in 2010 a change seemed to come over him as he turned on his cousin Maria Giordano, and found himself quite possibly the most hated man in the company.
From the day Bucky discovered wrestling on television, aged 7, it was all he ever wanted to do. As a child he made the school wrestling team, but had what was described as a "sore loser mentality". Kicked out of various schools, he soon found himself nearing his teen years about to be shunned 'til he found the crowd that was going to accept him. Blair Kivisto and Joesph Setala became good friends with Bucky and his attitude soon changed, and he was a better minded athelete if still a rebellious student.
